Andy Murray eliminated from French Open 2009

It was the French Open quarter finals yesterday and according to gather.com, it wasn’t a very good moment for Andy Murray. The number 3 seed had a match against number 12 seed Fernando Gonzalez and Murray got defeated.

The results at the end of the match were a win to Gonzalez with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 and 6-4. It now leaves the path more wide open for the number 2 seed Roger Federer to head to the finals. Roger was playing Gael Monfils in the quarter-finals.

And in the women’s quarter-finals, it was number 1 seed Dinara Safina that advanced to the semi-finals when she battled it out with Victoria Azarenka. Although she dropped the first set, she made it to victory with 1-6, 6-4 and 6-2.
