
Yesterday saw the 63rd annual Tony Awards which took place in New York at the Radio City Music Hall and was hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. According to variety.com, the winner of the best play category was “God of Carnage” by Yasmina Reza.
“Billy Elliot, The Musical” picked up both the best musical and the best book of a musical awards of the night. The winner of the revival of a musical award was “Hair.” And the winner of the revival of a play category was “The Norman Conquests.”
As we said in an earlier post, actress Angela Lansbury picked up an award for the best performance by a featured actress in a play for “Blithe Spirit.” And the best choreography award went to Peter Darling for “Billy Elliot, The Musical.” You can view a full list of winners via variety.com.
