Ashlee Simpson-Wentz (sister of Jessica) on Melrose Place

Well, it looks as though Jessica Simpson’s younger sister Ashlee is following in her sister’s footsteps when it comes to fame. According to examiner.com, the singer/songwriter and actress has joined the cast of TV show “Melrose Place” as Violet Foster.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who is married to musician Pete Wentz, started her career in 2004 with her number-one debut album Autobiography. She was already an accomplished dancer from an early age and apparently went to the School of American Ballet at the age of 11.

In 2005, Ashlee was in a supporting role as an aspiring actress in an independent film called “Undiscovered.” She has also been in commercials for the Canadian retailer Zellers. And now she has decided to back into TV and star in CW’s revamp of “Melrose Place.”
