Most other celebrities wait until after they are famous to admit that they’re gay, but according to themoneytimes.com, Adam Lambert as we all know became runner-up in “American Idol,” decided to admit beforehand.

Not that it actually matters to the world if he is, as it is more his looks and his vocal talents that attract the fans and will make him a success. He has chosen to be honest with his fans very early on in his career and that is a good thing.

Tavia Nyong’o, who is a professor of performance studies at New York University and studies race and sexuality in the arts, said that he is actually doing something very new and uncharted in pop culture.

    I’m curious about your use of the term “admit,” as in “admits he’s gay.” You make it sound as though he’s committed a crime. Frankly, I’m sick and tired of the media trying to spin this into something controversial. Adam has legions of fans who adore him and don’t care who he chooses to sleep with. Why can’t you people let this go and instead concentrate on what a gifted performer he is?

    Adam is a straight forward kind of guy. That is part of his charisma. He is mega talented, women and men of all ages love him and no one cares if he is gay – but why not go ahead and put it out there so the world can get over it. Adam Rocks and he is a nice guy! Now can we let this topic go and just talk about the fact that he is a great talent, amazing singer and totally hot!

    Adam has always been true to himself, never pretentious..he’s always been honest and open about himself..it wasn’t shocking at all when he announced his sexuality…who cares? not a big deal at all. I love him and that’s all that matters.
