Robert Pattinson vs. James Franco for Jeff Buckley role

Robert Pattinson vs. James Franco for Jeff Buckley role
Fans of “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson could possibly get to see the heartthrob in a totally different role. Pattinson is apparently one of two actors that are up for the role as Jeff Buckley in the upcoming biopic.

Robert Pattinson vs. James Franco for Jeff Buckley role

According to examiner.com, the other actor that could land the role as Jeff Buckley, who accidentally drowned at the age of 30, is said to be James Franco, who you may well know as playing Harry Osborn in the “Spider-Man” movies.

Jeff Buckley was a musician, who did a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” which actually earned him chart success over a decade after his tragic death. Do you think that Robert Pattinson is ideal for the role?

Pattinson is a fantastic singer and has the right feel for this role. I;d like to see him get the role.

PLEASE just glance at a photo of Jeff Buckley and tell me who you believe should win the part in the biopic… It is obvious who would be the proper choice: James Franco. Maybe Robert Pattinson can sing… I don’t know, but it is completely irrelevant for the evident reason that despite all of Pattinson possible potential, ; ) Buckley’s voice will never be duplicated. If a biopic is created, his music will be played and Pattinson’s prospective voice will not be necessary. Sorry, but Eddie is NOT the right pick… Unless of course Franco is too old; giving, naturally, the fact Buckley died at age 30 and Frankie is 31… I do not know the age portrayed in the movie, but if Ed beats my lovely it will ONLY be fault of his birth year and not his incredible resemblance to Buckley… Just saying : )

This is so bizarre – I always thought Robert Pattinson sounded similar to Jeff Buckley, but I could never in a million years have predicted him playing my favorite musician in a movie. Despite the fact that James Franco would, aesthetically, be best for the role, I think only Robert Pattinson could really fulfill it; auditorily, he’s too organically similar to Buckley to deny it.

Come on!!! The best option is really obvious… JAMES FRANCO, not just he looks just like Buckley, what he does, but he is so much better actor than robert.
I know that rob is an amaizing musician but he’s still not quite there as an actor and james has proven that he has what it takes to make it.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers is a better pickf or this role

I agree with lovelyB , according to me it’s impossible to let Robert play this role. James Franco may be too old for some of you but I really think that he looks like Jeff Buckley so much that he has to be him!! moreover, james is an actor, he is able to play people younger than him so it shouldn’t be a limite to his chance to have the role!!!!

James Franco could easily get voice lessons. Jeff Buckley is one of the most good-looking men that has ever walked this planet, and I would hate to see Robert Pattinson get the part.

i love jeff buckley. So whoever portrays him better do a good job at it. I think james franco resembles jeff buckley more then rob does. I wouldnt mind who played him though. Just cant see robert pattinson playing him. If johnny depp was younger i reckon he could of done a great job of portraying him or orlando bloom or even heath ledger.

i think that although james looks heaps like jeff buckley, rob has such an amazing voice and would also be great in this role, it would also prove to people he is someone other than edward cullen and after seeing a few of his earlier movies, he can act and people need to see him as something other than a bloody vampire
