US Open 2009: Tiger Woods in the rain‎

Rain is the last thing that the players want in the US Open Golf Championship, but that is what happened yesterday according to telegraph.co.uk. Heavy rain at the Black Course at Bethpage State Park, made the woods there more like the Amazon forest.

And apparently, Tiger Woods hit his opening tee shot and his hands flew off the club, leaving the ball to spiral wildly to the left. There was only about three hours of golf played until play was called off for the day due to the rain that flooded the greens.

Although Wood’s didn’t get to play many holes, he is still classed as favorite to win. It looked as if Tiger needed a wetsuit out there on the course. There was apparently spray everywhere when he managed to whack a three-wood off the fourth fairway.
