Director Roland Emmerich is best known for his disaster movie, in which the world ends or becomes destroyed, such as “Independence Day” and “The Day After Tomorrow.” And according to popzara.com, he has done it again with his new movie “2012.”
The movie apparently follows the theory, that the end of the world is going to be on December 21st 2012 and watches, as the characters try to survive until the end. The movie is supposedly hitting the big screens in November this year.
And it looks like there are a few big names in the movie such as Danny Glover, John Cusack, Thandie Newton and Woody Harrelson. I think it looks like it could be a good movie, but you can watch the trailer below and tell us what you personally think.

I think this movie is the truth of 2012. the Egyptians has put that year that the world will end so we will know what has to come. this is a humongous WARNING for us to prepare. we only have till today to live and see what we will see!!! ON DECEMBER, 21, 2012.

well this is just another false prophecy being circled around to create a lot of “cash” for the film producers in 2012. Well, at least you will enjoy the movie than just get anxious if it is true or not.
Looks like a great movie. I like these type movies because of the action and suspense. I just have one question and maybe Hollywood could help me out. Why when a movie about the end of the world is made the president is always an Afro-american. Deep Impact with Morgan Freeman was the same way. I watch THE CORE and in this one we never see who the president is. This is just a question. SO don’t get all bent out of shape over it. It was just something to think about… Thank you.
well J Money….the reason the president is black is because roland emmerich correctly predicted that a black president would be in office on the date in question. The scenes filmed with Danny Glover were actually shot before he was elected. so maybe he really does know something……
I worked on this film and I can tell you that is should be a real thrill ride. It will be released in november so that people can watch it before the world ends.
Most of us live in our own worlds, we don’t pay attention to what is happening, or, what could happen. I am partially like that, but being a Gemini I get very curious about lots of independent things. This movie got be thinking because it indicates survivors. I had not given that much thought, but within the realm of possibility. There are two scenes that raised a important question for me. The monk in the mountains ringing the bell, and NYC with the carrier JFK being rolled by a huge way into the city. Can it be possible? The short answer is YES. How so. There is enough water on the planet to cover the entire earth 12,000 feet, no mountains, no nothing; just water. What is going to happen is that the Sun will be in perfect alignment with the center of the Milky Way (or as the Myan’s called it, the Hunab Ku. From this point what happens is anyones guess. What I have written is fact. The movie will be based on entertainment value for most. In three years from the release of the movie, will anyone remember; or care? There is a reason for everything. Modern man does not know everything about everything. Sometimes the Ancients were more savy than us Moderns as to what can, could, must or will possibly happen. I for one beleive that something WILL transpire on that date to change our ALL our lives from that date onward, hopefully for the better.

Don’t worry about the water destroy the earth. In the bible He says “I will not use water to destroy the earth again”. But it will be interesting to actually see the big waves covering the mountains.

two things here, first, the movie is gonna be awesome!! great spcl effects!!! love the aircraft carrier rolling in upside down on the white house; do you know how much water that would take to push inland that far?? finaly, i believe in the bible, alot of people don’t, thats their right but the bible states, actually jesus says ” for no man knows, not even the son” when the end of the world is comin, so i don’t believe it. not even close but i’m sure as y2k was people are gonna be panicked and waste alot of money trying to survive 12/21/2012.
the mayans couldn’t even predict the their on downfall, so how in the heck does their prediction have any truth to it. do people how many groups or individuals that have tryed to predict when the end was ???????? i have seen nostradamis’ predictions, 90%of them he was so vague, it could’ve pertained to anything. just my opinion but we’ll talk on 12/22/2012

ok this is just a movie. No one really knows what is going to happen in 2012. why wouldnt they make a movie like this? to me it seems frickin awesome. Im super excited for it, and Im sure u all will see the movie as well and I agree with justintime when he mentions the bible, dont listen to the history channel and all that crap, read and believe in your bible and the holy man himself. HE is the only one who has a say when we as people are whiped off the face of the earth, and to me that seems like a pretty swell deal. those people in the past just got lazy and stopped with the calender situation. OK so just live life as well you can for now, because you could die tomorrow and not have to deal with 2012, so live happy and go see the movie, I think they are doing an awesome job pissing everyone off and getting me excited to see a great film.

c’mon,,,this is just movie and I like it. Do not waste your time to argue each other. No one knows when the end of the world. Bible said in II Peter 3,10 :
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up
No one knows the time or the hour of the world ending. Only God know that time will come. So don’t be so anxious to know the time of the world ending. Just keep obey God and pray for God mercy because there is no other ways to get salvation. Only Jesus Christ “the SON of GOD” can save you from your sin.

Dis is only a film, and its not a reality. Nobody can predict whn dis world is goin to end. Only the GOD knows the truth. After all we human beings put all these numberings….2012!!!

It seems that this obscure date is rather fortunate, 2012 coincides with the test trial area in Washington D.C.. Californians are still upset with the Oil Industry.

Just watched the movie. Thought it was ‘Rubbish’ the acting was some of the worst i have ever seen in a modern movie. The theme is designed to create some sort of histerior and get hearts and minds racing. They tried to combine religion, science and nature and the ingredients made a sad, flat, tastless, worthless peice of movie history. Doomsday for the imagination that fed this movie.
Totally unconvincing!! To bigger theme to contain in a movie. The dialogue is appalling….like they’re reading from a text book. Imagery in some parts is ok. But the actors are like a load of amatures who are out of their depth on the screen. They took to much on. And didn’t make it. Easy to pull this film to bits. Hard to praise it!

no one knows when the end of time is except for god. do not put your faith in a movie but in you or your god. i don’t belive in this because it just brings drama and fear in your life. god said live without fear and that you should do. do go and see this film though because it will eather conquer your fears or make you live with fear.
Enjoyed the film for the most part,sfx great! Bit long at just shy of two and a half hrs. Kev,bit over the top saying ‘rubbish’,but,i do hope wen dvd comes out it has deleted scenes added to explain some of the more crazy scenes.Such as how the hell did cusack get out of trailer before it dropped into abyss! Also,reminding us how much roland em loves impossible car escapes(godzilla anyone!)lost count of car sequences in this! Also,on tarmac so cracked cars can’t move,they manage to take off in an Antonov!haha,nice one.Like i said though,great fx.
