The Miss Louisiana 2009 was crowned last night at the W.L. Jack Howard Theater and according to apakistannews.com, it was revealed that 22-year old Katherine Putnam, who attends the University of Louisiana at Monroe, was given the title.
Katherine’s original title was Miss Shreveport, but now it has changed to Miss Louisiana. Last year’s winner was Blair Abene. The first runner-up in the pageant was Hope Anderson, who is 20 years old and also attends the University of Louisiana.
When Katherine was interviewed and asked what her most valuable lesson in life was, she replied that success for her is not a destination, but finding joy in the journey. Congratulations are sure to be sent to Katherine Putnam on becoming Miss Louisiana 2009.
