The Stig revealed as Michael Schumacher on Top Gear

We have been waiting years to learn the identity of the Stig from the BBC’s Top Gear show. Jeremy Clarkson has promised that the Stig’s true identity would be revealed on the new show, and as the Stig sat down on the sofa he pulled off his helmet and to our surprise it was 7 times F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher.

According to The Daily Mail, Clarkson and Schumacher kept the joke going, as the presenter asked the greatest F1 driver ever, “What’s your real name? It’s just too amazing for words!” He then kept talking to Schumacher about all the mysterious about him being the Stig. Clarkson said that “Are you illegal in 17 US states? Schumacher replied that it is only nine.

Although Michael Schumacher being the Stig was a joke, he has once worn the helmet when he drove the £1million Ferrari FSX. He drove the car in 1 minute 10.7, seven seconds faster than ever before. This shows that he still has not lost his touch when it comes to racing.
