It looks as though it was bad news for American tennis qualifier Michael Yani as his dreams were shattered and he was eliminated from the Wimbledon 2009 tennis championship. His court 9 match, where he was defeated by Simon Greul, lasted 1 hour and 51 minutes.
According to telegraph.co.uk, Yani got to Wimbledon by slogging through qualifiers at the Bank of England Sports Ground in Roehampton, therefore securing his first place in the main draw of the grand slam event that is watched by millions.

Yani 29, who had never set foot at the All England Club, was defeated by Germany’s Simon Greul who is 28 and was also a qualifier. Unfortunately for Yani, Greul, who won with straight sets of 6-4, 6-2 and 7-5, was more experienced at Wimbledon, having appeared before in 2006.
