Scottish tennis ace Andy Murray is hoping to achieve his goal of being the first Briton to win the men’s singles title at Wimbledon since Fred Perry in 1936. And I’m sure that all of his fans will be hoping the same.
And now, according to msn.com, he is a step closer to reaching his goal. Last night saw Murray compete against American player Robert Kendrick, who he defeated in a four-set battle that seemed far tougher than anyone imagined it to be.

But Murray himself said that he was pleased with the quality of play, particularly his serving. Although Murray was slightly disappointed to have lost the second set, he soon brought it back and took victory with 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 and 6-4.
