Many music fans had starting thinking that they wouldn’t see the Virgin Mobile Festival return this year. But despite rumors that it would return, nothing real concrete was ever announced to say otherwise, so it was pretty much dismissed in fans eyes.
But according to metromix.com, it was announced recently that the much-loved summer music festival, that first visited Baltimore in 2006, will return this year. The festival, which has now changed its name to Virgin Mobile FreeFest, will return on August 30th.

Although it is now been reduced to just one day and been packed into the Merriweather Post Pavilion, it has still managed to bag 17 acts. Some of the acts included in the festival are Blink-182, Pete Tong, Public Enemy, Weezer and Franz Ferdinand amongst others.
