It has been reported that Simon Cowell is preparing to quit the reality TV show “X Factor” and according to mirror.co.uk, last season’s new judge and “Girls Aloud” band member Cheryl Cole is said to be the hot favourite to take over from him.
Simon has apparently told friends that the next series of “X Factor” will be his last as he is leaving to set up a global entertainment and TV empire. And he has supposedly said that he wants the Girls Aloud singer Cheryl, who is now 25, to be the new face of the show.
ITV bosses have been desperately trying to get Simon, who is said to be one of the highest paid TV stars in the world, to stay on the show. Simon’s put downs have helped turn the show into the ratings winner that it is today with up to 15 million viewers.
