It looks as though Aerosmith could well be following in the footsteps of Metallica, when they have someone opening for them at New York’s Jones Beach on Friday night. According to rollingstone.com, they had a few people performing Guitar Hero game versions of their songs.
And now, it has been said that a 28-year old Staten Island man by the name of Paul Cataldo is going to get his turn in the spotlight. He will open for Aerosmith, before they take to the stage, with a Guitar Hero version of their song “Sweet Emotion,” to a crowd of 17,000.

Cataldo, who is a YouTube contestant winner, was said to have put on a Steven Tyler style top hat and a vintage Aerosmith shirt for his audition video. He claims that his favorite Aerosmith song is “Walk This Way,” but he didn’t want to be performing anything too difficult.
