Transformers 2: A Fans Movie Review

There have been a number of reviews of the Transformers 2 movie, Revenge of the Fallen, and it seems that the critics do not like the movie. Fans have also given a mixed response to the movie, I went into the cinema expecting nothing, but I came out happy, but then again that might have something to do with the fact that I had just taken procession of my new Apple iPhone 3G S.

Comic Book Movie Fansite has decided to offer a true fans movie review, and there were a few problems that they had with the movie. The first was the stereotyping of blacks, in the form of the twins with their gold tooth; they add that if they were black, then they would not be happy.

Their biggest problem with the movie is the vulgar crude comedy; they have to be talking about how Wheelie climbed on Megan Fox and started to hump her leg. However, we all have to agree, Wheelie was a fun character to watch.

I am a Transformer fan of the 80’s. I haven’t seen the movie yet, and have mixed thoughts about seeing it. Michael Bay is influenced by Hollywood and what the ‘world’ wants to see and not what ‘Christians’ are interested in. If the movie is as crude as reviews say, lets be forewarned and not criticize the director, after all its his movie. Just think about it, does Bay come into your home and criticize you for the way you raise your children or run your household? If you want to see it, go see it, if you don’t want to see it, don’t see it. We all have a choice in the matter and if you choose to see it, you get what he created and nothing more. If you want the ‘old school’ Transformers, got to Wal-Mart and buy the DVD’s. PEACE!

I thought Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was a good movie, not a great one. They could have done less crude humor and more plot and the twins were funny, but the sterotyping will offend some. If and when the make a 3rd installment. I would like to see it more darker than funny, and someone and/or think needs to be killed.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was a good movie, not great. I thought the movie had some very funny and on the edge of your seat moments, but it also had some low points. #1 The twins: They were funny, but the sterotyping will make some upset. #2 A little bit to much crude humor. Besides those two points. I thought the action was outstanding, but if and when the make a 3rd installment. I would like to see it more darker than funnier… someone and/or thing needs to be killed off for good.(like Jazz in the first one) Just don’t touch the following: Prime, BumbleBee, Sam or Lennox.

Cool! I saw the movie with my 12 year old and 20 year old on opening night. The crude humor had them rolling on the floor… maybe we’re just a crude humor type family though. As for the twins… if you automatically think ‘racist’ then maybe you need to hang around a younger crowd for a while… they reminded me of teenagers… more specifically, some of my 19 year old employees at my office! Slang, short tempers, plain silliness… I think young, not black. I loved that they had many more robots than they had in the last movie. I loved the action – more robot fighting. I wanted to see Transformers for the action packed explosions and special effects robots, and I got what I wanted. Go to this movie expecting that and you won’t be disappointed.

I loved the movie, incredible CGI
effects, with the large scale production
when seen on the big screen, was fantastic!

The acting was superb, while the ending was
predictable, I thoroughly enjoyed it anyway
however I do believe the language was a bit
much, I saw a lot of little kids in the audience, and when the sexual slang
    for female anatomy was used,
    that was just unecessary
because it could have still been a good movie without the language and innuendo

I could only feel for the parents who
thought they were going to watch a clean
movie with their kids, lets remember movie makers, that
Hasbro Toys is the maker of the Transformer Toy line, and this movie should have been
    suitable for the little guys,
    suitable for teenagers and adults,
    but not for kids.

language aside a great movie for the rest of us.

Very dissapointed! Crude humor, weak plot and New York accents on “superior beings”. Why? And the unnecessarily foul language used! I tool my 9 year old and it was not long into the movie that I knew that I had made a mistake.

I dont think they needed to use the word Pu##y in it, could of done without suck my popsicle, or the hunching on megan fox’s leg….or some of the other dirty words they used and didnt need to- in order to make the movie good- should of been NC-17 for sure- and NOT marketed to 6 year olds

  8. cargue guevaq says:

I went to the movie with my 19 yo son and we were not dissapointed. Loved the action, the plot and the end part of movie.
I have to say though, that I’ve heard on the radio a movie critic saying it was a bad movie and we do not live in Holywood. Why is it that most critics don’t like the movie when most people we chat with love it? Don’t pay attention to those overpaid crtics, my opinion only.

I’m planning on seeing this movie in a couple of days, but what I don’t understand is why people keep saying “I took my (insert age UNDER 13) to see this.” Do people not realize that this movie is rated PG-13? It wasn’t intended to be a kid’s movie. Michael Bay has done an excellent job making Transformers no longer a kids toy, but something that older people can enjoy. Kids get the toys, adults get the movie. That’s my 2 cents.

  10. Ryan says:

I’ve been a fan for more than 20 years. I liked the first movie (more the second time I saw it). This sequel starts off good and then got so bad I walked out. It has great special effects, good acting and a great plot but the film is spoiled by too many annoying characters, terrible script and its too long. The tone of the movies is all over the place. I will wait to watch it on DVD in small doses so that I can see the battle at the end. Transformers has been going solid for 25 years and is aimed just as much at adults as kids. This movie should have been more mature and without the crude humour.

  11. I though it woz a great film. though i didnt think much of the end it was pretty easy defeating Megatron and the Fallen, and all it took woz one missile to defeat that overgrown Devastator.

  12. At the end prime easily owned megatron and the fallen, that kinda sucked, not long enough. they sould have had their own moments, just to keep that fight balanced.

My daughter just put this movie on. Shocking the things that are said by the mom, who gets high on tainted brownies and talks about her son losing his virginity and the wonders of marajuana. There was so much bad language and behavior. I can’t understand why this is for kids. So sorry I bought it.
