It doesn’t look like British tennis star Elena Baltacha is advancing any further in the Wimbledon 2009 tournament, as yesterday saw her being defeated by Belgian Kirsten Flipkens in 7-5 and 6-1 straight sets. But according to sleafordstandard.co.uk, is determined to move on.
Apparently, Elena has said that she just wants to take the positives from what has now been described as a disastrous Wimbledon and insists that there is a bright future for British tennis despite claims otherwise. But the young star doesn’t seem effected by her loss.

Her defeat has now denied Elena the chance to join compatriot Anne Keothavong in the world’s top 100. But her attitude still seems positive and she has stated that she knows she is going to progress and move forward and claims it was a great opportunity for her.
