Joe Jackson attends the 2009 BET Awards

It was the BET Awards last night and many celebrities attended the event, which was focused very much on the terrible loss of Michael Jackson just a few days previous. A lot of the night included tributes to Michael who will be greatly missed by millions.
As we mentioned in an earlier post, Michael’s sister Janet attended the awards and gave a speech on how much everyone will miss the King of Pop. But according to eonline.com, Michael’s father Joe Jackson was also in attendance at the awards.
Joe Jackson, who was walking the red carpet with his attorney, said that he wished Michael could have seen the tributes that BET had in store for him that night. He also claimed that it should have happened whilst Michael was still alive as he was the greatest star in the world.
