Christina Applegate is now family to Drew Barrymore

Samantha Who? Star Christina Applegate is set to star alongside Drew Barrymore and real-life boyfriend Justin Long in a new film scheduled to hit our screens. The film Going the Distance is a romantic comedy where Applegate plays the role as big sister to Barrymore.

The last film Applegate stared in was The Rocker alongside Rainn Wilson. It has been confirmed by the stars rep that Applegate will be playing the role in the new romantic flick. Charlie Day the star of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is also set to be playing a role.

According to E!online, director Nanette Burstein will start shooting around July 15 in New York. With the producers Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot, this warm hearted comedy is definitely one to watch for over the coming months.
