Tiger Woods AT&T National Host Role is Extra Incentive

The AT&T National four-day golf tournament starts today, which is being held at the 7,255-yard, par-70 Congressional Country Club course just outside Washington, D.C. According to vancouversun.com, the site is said to be where the 2011 U.S Open will be held.

And apparently, the world’s number one Tiger Woods, has said that being host of the $6 million tournament, has given him an added incentive to finish at the top. The 33-year old, who had to sit out of the AT&T National last year, believes that it is fun to win your own event.

Other golfers that have entered this year’s event include triple major winner Vijay Singh, Canadian Mike Weir, the world’s number three Paul Casey, last year’s AT&T National winner Anthony Kim, who’s just turned 24 and the newly crowned 2009 U.S Open champion Lucas Glover.
