Public Enemies, Transformers 2 and Ice Age 3: Tops Box Office

American gangster movie “Public Enemies,” that sees actor Johnny Depp star in the role as notorious bank robber John Dillinger, didn’t quite make it to the very top of the box office at the weekend, when it came in third after bringing in $26.2 million according to wkowtv.com.

It was still good for coming in third, but instead it was beaten to the top position in the 4th July weekend box office by two great films “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and the animated 3D movie “Ice Age 3,” who both tied for the number one spot.

Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf’s action packed “Transformers” sequel and the family comedy “Ice Age 3,” which stars the voices of Denis Leary, Queen Latifah and Ray Romano, both managed to pull in an estimated $42.5 million in ticket sales each.
