Former MLB star center fielder, Lenny Dykstra who played for teams such as The New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies has been forced to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection; this is according to reports from Reuters.
MLB.com reports that 46-year-old Dykstra filed for a petition with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Central District of California on July 7, 2009. He claimed that he had no more than $50,000 of assets, but had between $10 million and $50millon worth of liabilities.

This filing comes after the former basketball player had a number of lawsuits filed against him; this was to do with various business activities. One such activity included a magazine launch last year, it do not go to well.
