The riders completed stage 6 of the 2009 Tour de France yesterday and some believe that as they head into stage 7 today, that this is where the race gets tough. They have the mountains to contend with in stage 7, but I’m sure that the riders have prepared themselves already.
And according to examiner.com, where you can view more results, it seems like Fabian Cancellara from Team Saxo Bank, is still holding on to the top position in the GC standings, but is apparently tied for the lead on time with American rider Lance Armstrong, who is from Team Astana.

It also looks good for Lance’s fellow Astana teammate Alberto Contador, as after completion of stage 6, he is in third place in the GC standings and only 19 seconds behind Lance. And looking at the overall stage 6 results, it appears Thor Hushovd was in top position.
