The 2009 Tour de France has been going on for seven days now and today saw riders complete their 7th stage. And according to usatoday.com, the competitors had to endure the climb into Arcalis, which is apparently one of the toughest ascents in pro cycling.
And it appears to be good news for French rider Brice Feillu, as he showed pure determination and endurance, when he won stage 7 in a solo breakaway. Stage seven also saw Italy’s Rinaldo Nocentini capturing the yellow jersey.

Fabian Cancellara, who did possess the yellow jersey, seemed to trail quite far behind the main pack in this stage of the race. American rider Lance Armstrong slipped into third place overall. It is a good victory for 23-year old Feillu as it’s his first Tour.
