It looks as though Major League Baseball fans now get to know who is on the cards to represent the American League as the participants have just been announced. This coincides with the Home Run Derby taking place tonight as part of the All-Star Game festivities.
According to MLB FanHouse, the National League announced last week that they’re sending in players such as Albert Pujols, Adrian Gonzalez and Ryan Howard. And the American League has announced Nelson Cruz, Joe Mauer, Brandon Inge and Carlos Pena as part of the lineup.

Some could say that the American League lineup may not look as good as the National League, but Joe Mauer has a great swing and Carlos Pena has apparently never taken a swing in which he wasn’t trying to score a home run, so surprises may well be in store.
