Curtis Granderson All-Star Game: Triple and deciding run

It was a great day yesterday for outfielder Curtis Granderson, as according to usatoday.com, he not only got to hang out with all of the American League’s best players, but even got to shake hands with President Barack Obama before his first All-Star game.

And to make things even better for the 28-year old player, he tripled and scored the deciding run for the American League in their 4-3 victory at the Busch Stadium. After the game, Curtis reportedly said that it was amazing to have got to experience all of it.

But Curtis wasn’t the only American League hero of the game. Outfielder Carl Crawford apparently stole a home run from Brad Hawpe. This was by leaping and reaching over the fence in the seventh-inning and helped closer Jonathon Papelbon get his perfect inning.
