Today saw the release of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” which is set to top the box office in the next few days. Some of the early reviews even say that it is the best “Harry Potter” so far. And as we mentioned in a previous post, it could well top box office sales for “Twilight.”
But according to indianexpress.com, the “Harry Potter” series could even topple “James Bond” movies as the top-grossing franchise in box office history. Reports say that the last five Harry Potter movies have brought in a total of $4.48 billion around the globe so far.

Meanwhile, the James Bond movies stand at $5 billion over the course of its 22 films. It has been predicted that the “Harry Potter” franchise will overtake the British spy thrillers by the end of this month, especially now that the sixth installment has hit the big screens.
