I really do have to say that I am kind of SHOCK at what I’ve read so far in the reviews..Being the HARRY POTTER junkie that I am (proudly) I was in the the 12:05 release and from the get go the opening sequence of Harry in the coffee house flirting with the waitress was a big let down. That was NOT in the book. Where was the confrontation of Dumbledore and the Dursleys? I know that the movies stray for novels (GOF, OOTF) and I understand that but to have a movie as pivotal as this one some accuracy is in order. The movie never gave you the feeling that Harry had the tools or guidance to go into the unknown to stop VOLDEMORT. Visions that needed to be seen where not (VOLDEMORTS past family, his search for other horcrux ect.) and the closing fight scene at Hogwarts which sets the scene for what everyone in the wizarding world expects to happen, A WAR, never happening. There are too many inconsistencies exist in the film that were vital to the next movies plot that i cant list -it being fair considering the powers that be in the movie world didn’t deem them important to put in leaving me questioning where was J.K.Rawling? I do have to put in one positive note, Tom Felton. Having succeeded in bringing the anguish that Malfoy suffered at the hands of VODLEMORTS specific orders. With that being said, this has been by far the biggest let down I have experienced in this series leaving me to wonder how they are going to botch the last 2 movies and if I am even going to see them.
