President Obama first pitch for 80th All-Star Game

President Barack Obama was seen before the 80th All-Star game, apparently following a tradition that was started by President William Howard Taft 99 years ago. Obama reportedly lobbed a soft toss to first baseman Albert Pujols of the St. Louis Cardinals.

According to usatoday.com, President Obama was wearing his favorite Chicago White Sox jacket as he threw the first pitch, using a big windup that almost bounced in front of the catcher. It looked as though Obama thoroughly enjoyed it though.

And judging by Albert Pujols and the 46,000 fans that had packed the Busch Stadium, it appeared that President Obama wasn’t the only one to have enjoyed it. Obama apparently told Fox Sports after that it was as much fun as he’d had in quite some time.
