Hudgens is looking to expand on her resume, following on from her success from High School Musical; Hudgens is to star in new movie Bandslam. This is a coming-of-age story about a group of students who come together so that they can form an eclectic band.
Vanessa will play a quiet and shy girl; yes, this is certainly different to her character Gabriella, in High School Musical. Hudgens knows that singing and dancing is a huge part of her career, but she is aiming to become more versatile. This will be seen in her future movie, Sucker Punch, the young actress will play a girl who is tormented by her evil stepfather. She is also to star in another new movie, Beastly.
