For those who do not know much about what is happening in the 2009 NFL, then we can report that today the NFL has held this year’s Supplemental Draft with all 32 teams getting involved. The draft did used to take place via a telephone call, but these days it is done via email.
As we mentioned above, all 32 teams were involved in what is a three-step process. For those teams who scored less than six wins in the 2008 season will take part in the first lottery for the top six picks, the second group will consist of non-playoff teams, with the third being the 12 playoff teams from the 2008 season.

According to the Detroit News, if one of those teams chooses to supplemental draft pick from one of the eligible prospects, that team will then forfeit its pick in the same round in April’s 2010 draft. A Supplemental Draft did not take place in 2008; this was because no players signed up to take part in the draft.
