The 2009 British Open is due to begin soon and many golf fans will be hoping to catch some of the action. This year’s championship is being held at Turnberry in Ayrshire and starts today 16th July and finishes on Sunday 19th July, when the winner is announced.
And according to usatoday.com, coverage of the 2009 British Open will be available online at PGA.com starting from 4am ET. This will carry on until about 6.30am ET and then TNT’s TV coverage begins. This will be the last year for TNT to cover the event.

Apparently, TNT will have around 28 hours of coverage, including 12 hours of coverage both today and Saturday. Fans will also be able to watch views online that won’t be aired on TV, with close-up coverage of play on the 9th, 10th and 11th holes.
