Some of Michael Jackson’s fans may well remember back in 1984, when Michael had a terrible accident whilst shooting for a Pepsi ad. Apparently after the sixth take, the pyrotechnics went horribly wrong and Michael’s hair caught fire, whilst thousands of his fans watched in horror.
And according to Entertainment Weekly, Jackson continued to dance for a few seconds, oblivious to what had just happened. It was reported though, that Pepsi did later settle with Michael Jackson for $1.5 million, which Michael donated to the burns unit at Brotman Medical Center.
Michael apparently received second and third degree burns to his scalp, according to usmagazine.com, who have reportedly posted previously unseen footage of the terrible accident on their website. It’s maybe not the way Michael’s fans want to remember him.
