Runners sign up for Aramco Half and Chevron Houston Marathon

Today, there were quite a few runners waiting nervously for the Chevron Houston Marathon and the Aramco Half Marathon.But it wasn’t to actually race, it was just to sign up for them both, which are set to take place on January 17th 2010.

And according to galvnews.com, Steven Karpas, who is the race’s general manager, said he wouldn’t be surprised if they are fifty percent full by this time next week. And apparently, due to so much demand, both marathons have been expanded.

Both marathons can now accommodate 11,000 runners each, now making it Houston’s largest one-day sporting event for both spectators and participants. People are being warned that if they wait too long, they may miss their opportunity to compete.
