With the release of Jordin Sparks’ new album “Battlefield” now upon us, some are hoping that it’s better than the singer’s debut, which according to nydailynews.com, ended up as the second-worst-selling opening album from an “American Idol” winner in history.

Jordin was the winner of season 6 of “American Idol” and released her self-titled debut album shortly after, which may not have been everyone’s preference. It was said at the time, that Jordin didn’t really fall into a specific genre of music like other AI winners.
