Taco Bell (Gidget) Chihuahua is Dead

Not everyone will remember or know who Gidget was, but some may remember her for being the famous “Yo Quiero Taco Bell” Chihuahua, who has sadly died at the age of 15 from a stroke, according to reports from examiner.com.

Gidget was the cute little Chihuahua that reached her fame in the late 1990’s, when she starred in the Taco Bell commercials, whose famous words “Yo Quiero Taco Bell,” which apparently translates to “I Want/Love Taco Bell,” will be remembered.

Apparently, the Taco Bell Chihuahua became so popular back then, that a line of toys and dolls were manufactured in her image. The commercials ended in 2000, but Gidget carried on, with features on the “Tonight Show” and “Legally Blonde 2.”
