Glastonbury avoids clashing with London 2012 Olympics

It was only just over a month ago, that the 2009 Glastonbury Festival kicked off, with some great headlining acts that included Lily Allen, Kasabian and Madness. And now according to digitalspy.co.uk, reports have revealed that the 2010 and 2011 dates have already been announced.

The Glastonbury organizers have announced recently that next year’s event, which marks the festival’s 40th anniversary, will run from Wednesday 23rd June until Sunday 27th June and 2011’s festival will be from Wednesday 22nd June until Sunday 26th June.

Normally, the festival has a year off at five year intervals, but has had to be pushed back until 2012, to avoid the event clashing with the London Olympics. Reports reveal that registration for next year’s festival is currently open for any fans that are hoping to get their tickets.
