Well it looks like the British riders have certainly made their mark in the 2009 Tour de France. It has been a long time coming and seems very much deserved, with both Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins showing their true abilities and determination.
The British have done well in the race with Bradley Wiggins finishing fourth overall and Mark Cavendish achieving six stage wins in the 2009 Tour de France. According to timesonline.co.uk, Wiggins is said to be one of the favorites for next year.

It looks like Wiggins has really proved himself on all terrains over the past three weeks, including the toughest climb of the Tour at Mont Ventoux, which apparently claimed the life of Tommy Simpson back in 1967, in Saturday’s penultimate stage.
