Sam Raimi and the World of Warcraft movie

There have been some great video games that have been based upon movies before, but not that many great movies made from video games. But things could be changing on that subject as according to wired.com, director Sam Raimi has been working on a “World of Warcraft” movie.

The movie, which is to be based upon the online multiplayer game and its fantasy world, is apparently due for release in 2011, so World of Warcraft fans will have to wait a while to see the movie. The question is though, could we be looking at a box office hit or not.

Wired.com managed to get a glimpse at Sam Raimi’s production diary and it appears that filming of the movie started off with a few hitches here and there. Apparently there were a few technical problems with the set to start with, but that quickly got dealt with and the problems were sorted.
