This week sees the 51st Buick Open Golf Championship that is held at the Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club in Grand Blanc, Michigan. And according to nytimes.com, a source, who would rather remain anonymous, revealed that General Motors will stop sponsorship after this tournament.
This new revelation follows recent reports that supposedly said that General Motors would be focusing its marketing budget on new product advertising instead. Other reports have suggested that Buick is expected to withdraw sponsorship from the 2010 Buick Invitational.

Although Pete Ternes, who is a G.M. spokesman, said that they had not agreed to any changes. And Ty Votaw, who is a spokesman for the PGA Tour, said that they had no comment on the recent reports. Plans will not be discussed until the championship ends.
