The new issue of “Sporting News Magazine” has given a list of their top 50 greatest coaches of all time, which have apparently been selected by a panel of 118 that include seven World-Series managers.
And the name at the very top of the list is college basketball coach John Wooden, who won 10 Division 1 men’s basketball championships in 12 years and was also SN’s 1970 Sportsman of the Year.

Vince Lombardi, who was the coach of the Green Bay Packers, is at second place on the list. And college football coach Bear Bryant is in third place in the SN magazine’s rankings. For the full list, visit sportingnews.com.
