UFC 101 will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009, which is the UFC 101: Declaration. This time round the Ultimate Fighting Championship will be making its way to Philadelphia, where we will get to see the two best 155-pound fighters meet. The date has been set, so now it is time to look at the fight cards for each fighter, which you will find in the link below.
The two fighters that we are talking about have to be BJ Penn and Kenny Florian. Penn has a lot riding on this fight as he is defending his crown, where Florian is the contender, so there is less pressure on him. BJ Penn has never lost a 155-pounds fight, so Florian needs to be on top of his game.
As well as the main event, you will also be treated to the co-feature where we get to see middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva, battling Ultimate Fighter season one winner Forrest Griffin. This is certainly going to help spice things up in this pound-for-pound king of mixed martial arts event.
