Barcelona vs. Seattle Sounders FC: Results

Yesterday saw a friendly game of soccer, in which Barcelona took on Seattle Sounders FC. And according to soccernet.espn.go.com, it was the Barcelona team that took a 4-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders FC in their latest stop of a pre-season tour of the U.S.

And it looks like Barcelona player Lionel Messi helped his team along a little, after scoring two goals in the first half of the match. He apparently beat Seattle Sounders FC goalkeeper Kasey Keller in the 21st minute of play, with a left-footed punch from outside the penalty box.

Then, it was about twenty minutes after that, that Messi got Xavi’s fantastically judged crossing pass about eight yards out. Then in one move, Messi, who apparently scored 38 goals in league and tournament play a year ago, split Keller’s legs with his left foot and scored.

Yes, it was a good game. I watched it last night as I always try to catch up every Barcelona game I can.

Messi is definitely one of the best players in the world right now. I\’d say that even if he didn\’t play for Barça. He is a very humble person on and off the field, and in my opinion, that makes him a better player.

    Visca el Barça.
