Vampire Saturation: Vampire Diaries, Twilight, and True Blood

We have the “Twilight” movies and we have the HBO vampire series “True Blood,” so do we need another series, or has the vampire genre been saturated enough. Well, some people don’t think so, as according to buddytv.com, a new vampire series will be hitting our screens soon.

The latest series is called “The Vampire Diaries,” which is a new show from CW and one which they hope will attract many viewers. But apparently, the plot for this new series sounds very familiar, with a vampire falling in love with a human girl.

Although the executive producer Kevin Williamson has assured the viewers, that the series quickly reaches a fork in the road and does go in a completely different direction. And as the show is aimed at a younger audience, they have some great cast members including Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev.
