Many Ultimate Fighting Championship fans have been waiting for news of the Boston Event, and they got the news they wanted during the UFC 101 post fight press conference.
According to MMA Junkie, Dana White – UFC president – has confirmed plans to hold an event at Boston, which could be at Fenway Park (home of the Boston Red Sox). This city has been the target of UFC expansion for a while now, and could hold one of the most memorable events in UFC history.

The Boston event would be held sometime in 2010 if a recent bill approved by the State Senate gets signed into law by the end of 2009.
White is 100 percent behind the idea of Boston and UFC expansion; in his own words “We’re definitely going to Boston. … We’re going everywhere.” Read more on this over at MMA Junkie.
