Some fans may see this more as a Collinsworth, who admits he is a huge John Madden fan, versus Madden thing instead. Alhtough Cris is taking over from a true legend, he has his own style and he is a star himself, so many are saying that he’ll do really well.

    Timing? John Madden just died.

Am I the only person that thinks that Chris Collinsworth SUCKS. Never have liked the guy, do not know why, maybe it is just the way he talks and acts. I rank him with Dennis Miller, who is the lowest thing in the world to have ever attempted to call a football game. I could not stand Chris when he did one of the NFL shows, I choose to watch the other. Well, I said my piece and now feel a lot better.

I agree. Chris is trying so hard its annoying. He tries to comment on everything. Shifting for one player or topic to another in the same sentence. Its hard to follow. Hopefully he’ll calm down. He’s never really impressed us either.

Don’t know if you watched Jon Gruden on MNF tonight. He was really good. All 3 guys seemed more confortable than they ever were with Tony Kornheiser. Maybe that’s what SNF needs, a good ex-coach that really knows the game.
