When the news broke of Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa having the terrible accident, fans were left shocked and devastated. But then the news came out, that Michael Schumacher was coming out of retirement and returning to the sport, to fill in for Massa as a Ferrari driver.
But according to itv-f1.com, that is not the case now, as Michael Schumacher has had to abandon his return, due to a neck injury that he apparently suffered in a motorcycle accident earlier this year. Reports say that medical tests have shown his neck isn’t strong enough.

Schumacher has reportedly posted on his website, stating that he was unable to fill in for Massa and he had tried everything to make the temporary comeback possible. The news of Michael’s return had electrified the F1 world, but many fans will now be left disappointed.
