The last season of Ghost Whisperer has a new mythology; love transcends death. This fall when it returns for season 5, it will be set five years ahead – in what promises to be a season of more supernatural intrigue.
Since Melinda and Jim/Sam secretly got married last season, season 5 is about their new life together and the changes they must make for their “special” child who has been born.
The season’s plot is about Melinda and Jim’s little boy, Aiden. Melinda has been told her son is going to be able to do what she can do and much more.
Bringing a baby into the plot often ruins a show, but I’m optimistic that this will open new doors for season 5. It also makes interesting storylines for the couple, now they are now parents who will be taking the role of parenthood very seriously.
Since the baby is going to be able to sense and see things his mother can’t, we can expect a whole other plane of existence we never thought we could, this includes a dimension that is populated by beings good and bad. Some don’t want to be seen at all. It can be very creepy when you think about it.
