The Beatles on Record: New Documentary

It’s been nearly 40 years now since the Beatles broke up, but the Fab Four’s legacy will always live on. And according to rollingstone.com, their legacy will take center stage in September, when BBC is due to air a new documentary that is dedicated to the band, called “The Beatles on Record.”

The documentary is apparently in addition to the upcoming release of both “The Beatles: Rock Band” and the entire re-mastered catalog reissues. The tribute will reportedly feature the history of the Beatles in the studio, along with never-heard-before outtakes and rare footage and photographs.

Reports have also said that over 60 Beatles songs will feature in the new documentary, which was directed by Bob Smeaton, who also directed 1995’s “The Beatles Anthology.” The Beatles week on the BBC will reportedly kick off on September 5th and will certainly be great for Beatles fans.
