Happy Rick Bayless Won Top Chef Masters 2009?

We reported this morning that Rick Bayless had won Top Chef Masters 2009; there is no denying that he is a talented chef, but are you happy that he won? It was a mix of his skills as a chef and his background story of his career in food that won the judges over.

According to chicagotribune.com, Bayless is a chef and co-owner of Frontera Grill and Topolobampo. It was his passion and expertise of Mexican regional cooking that helped him beat of tough competition from the other two finalists.

Rick Bayless won $100,000 in prize money, which he donated the Frontera Farmer Foundation. Bayless helped found the charity, which supports small Midwestern farms. It is nice to see someone like Rick Bayless giving up his time so that a charity can benefit from his efforts.
