Yesterday, the baseball world saw the 2009 Little League World Series kick off. But according to khabrein.info, it started off with the Little League Grand Slam Parade on Thursday night, which saw them make their way through downtown Williamsport, whilst thousands of bystanders watched on.
Then the 16 teams and the 192 Little Leaguers from all across the globe, gathered at the Little League International Complex, ready to compete in the 63rd World Series and get their chance to win the title of Little League Baseball world champion.

The teams are all ready to play now at the Howard J. Lamade Stadium and the Little League Volunteer Stadium. Hunter Phillips, who is playing for Warner Robins (Ga.) American Little League, said it is really exciting to be there in real life rather than watching it on television.
And it looked like it was a good day for the South Shore National team. According to silive.com, they had some great pitching from Angelo Navetta and some big power from Nick Pucciarelli. They ended with a 10-2 win over the Northwest Regional champion Mercer Island, from Washington State.
